It is called Slotha Pocket Prayer Book. It can be downloaded from your phone by using a Google search on your phone. Included in the pocket books are prayers in both English and Sourath. They include common prayers such as the Lord’s Prayer, the Hail Mary and the Glory Be. There are also prayers for evening, morning and Eucharistic Adoration. The Lord’s Prayer in Sourath Baban dy-li bi-shmayya Payish m-qudsha Shimmukh Athya mal-kuthukh hawi ‘ij-bonukh dikh dy-li bi-shmayya hadh-ah\kh ham b-ar ‘a Hal-lan lukh-ma d-sun qanan idyu shwoq talan gnahan wi-khty athan dikh ham akhny shwiq-lan ta anay di-mtu’-delay illan w-la mabyrit-an b-juraba illa mkhalis-lan min bysha mbed diyyaukh ‘yla malkutha w-hayla w-tshbohta l-‘alam ‘almyn amen. Eucharistic Adoration Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty! Heaven and earth are filled with his glories! Hosanna in the highest! Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who came and will come in the Name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. Meditation There, I feared greatly. The heavenly and earthly assemblies stand in fear and joy when the Sacrifice is offered for the life of the world: with their wings extended over their eyes, lest they observe the fearful, incomprehensible Sigh and with their voices extolling and their tongues crying out and saying: Holy, Holy, Holy are you O Lord, because of this fearful Gift you have given us in which we are absolved of our sins. Grant us, O Lord, in your mercy and make us worthy in your grace, to give thanks to you for it and to say: Glory to you. obituaries Istepho Yousif Sipo Istepho Yousif Sipo was born on July 1, 1932 and passed away on August 24, 2011. Istepho was the oldest of eight children, born in 1932 to Yousif Sipo and Sarah Saco in Alqosh, Iraq. In his youth, he worked on his father’s farm from dawn until dusk, covering a variety of tasks. He left Alqosh in his 20s to go to Kuwait, where he worked as a laborer. Shortly thereafter, he returned to Baghdad to open a retail paint shop with his brother. In the mid 1970s, he took on a new career as a contractor doing road construction in Baghdad. He left Iraq in 1981 to immigrate to America and start a new life for his family. He never learned to read or write neither English nor Arabic, but managed to become a successful businessman nevertheless. He opened a collision shop in Detroit in the early 1980s and worked there until his retirement. Istepho was very social and loved being with his family — especially his grandchildren. He was what made Sunday gatherings at Nana’s house fun. He loved picking apples from trees in his backyard for the kids and never got tired of running around with them all day. He was truly selfless and was constantly trying to give to others; it made him happy to be able to provide for others. He was such a Istepho Yousif Sipo humble and loving man and will always be remembered by those who knew him and loved him. The family takes consolation in the good feelings of their memories with him. He is survived by his wife Hayat; his children Samira (Nabil) Cholagh, Sahera Sadik, Samir (Valentina) Yousif, Nassir Yousif, Sana (David) Palmer, Haitham (Vania) Sebou and Ban (Azad) Danno; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
