Yosemite Rangers Find One Body The body of a man who died after being swept into a raging waterfall at Yosemite National Park last month was found on August 6, but the two other victims remain missing. Hormiz David Hormiz David’s body was found by a recovery team but Ramina Badal and Ninos Yacoub remain missing. The three, all members of California’s Assyrian community, were pulled over a 317-foot cliff by fastmoving water at the Vernal Falls. David, 22, was studying music production at Modesto Junior College. Yacoub, 27, of Turlock, was studying chemistry at California State University - Stanislaus, and Badal, 21, of Manteca, attended the University of San Francisco and had hoped to become a nurse. New Health Clinic Opens A free health clinic will be offered beginning September 7 at St. Joseph Chaldean Catholic Church in Troy. The clinic is open to all Chaldeans, adults and children, free of charge. Sterling Heights-based Neil Jaddou, M.D. and his medical staff will volunteer their services. Idol Process Underway Preparations for Chaldean Idol are underway. Only eight singers will make it on to the actual stage at the show on Friday, October 14 (rescheduled from September 30). Those who wish to qualify to be a contestant on COACH Chaldean Idol must email a video of them singing along with a short biography, clear head shot, date of birth and city. People Auday Arabo Auday Arabo is among 21 people appointed to the new Liquor Control Advisory Rules Committee. The group will review Michigan’s liquor control Simon Jonna system in order to ensure that the regulations are simple, fair, transparent and efficient, and conducive to business growth and job creation. Arabo is the president and chief executive officer of the Associated Food & Petroleum Dealers. The board of directors of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Darlene Kassab Mansoor, MD Investment Services, the nation’s largest real estate investment services firm, has promoted Simon Jonna to vice president investments. Jonna began his career with the firm in May 2005 specializing in the sale of retail properties. Most recently, he held the position of associate vice president investments. Mona Hanna-Attisha has been appointed Director of the Pediatric Residency Program at Hurley Medial Center in Flint. Darlene Kassab Mansoor, MD, was recently featured in the Children’s National Medical Center magazine. She is an attending physician in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders as an Allergy & Immunology clinician at the Northern Virginia office.
