The event paid tribute to Congressman Sander Levin and law professor David Koelsch. Levin (D-MI) was chosen because he advocates for Chaldean refugees in the U.S. Congress. Koelsch heads the University of Detroit-Mercy’s Immigration Law Clinic, which offers pro bono services to refugees, asylum seekers and other community members. 50 CHALDEAN NEWS SEPTEMBER2010
