sponsors 6 1 4 5 Forum brings Chaldean, Jewish entrepreneurs together Photos by Brett Mountain 2 Entrepreneurs and young professionals from the Chaldean and Jewish communities got together on October 1 at the Chaldean News/ Jewish News Building Community Initiative-sponsored Entrepreneurship Forum at the College for Creative Studies Taubman Center in Detroit. Attendees enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and networking before sitting down to dynamic presentations by Doug Neal of Michigan eLab and Michael Finney, president and CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corp. Neal spoke of his entrepreneurial background and excitement in relocating to his native Michigan. Finney told attendees about the various economic programs available at the MEDC and the resources available to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. He also announced that the MEDC is launching a micro-lending program within the next few months to help small businesses with fewer than five employees. After his presentation, Finney took questions from the audience. This is the third year of the Building Community initiative.
