St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Parish held Kids’ Night Out to raise donations for the new grotto and to enjoy face painting, songs, skits, and quality time with friends and family. The October 24 event had an angelic theme, which explains some of the participants’ clothing. I’m thankful for a lot: my parents, food, all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, for people who help me, and for the church because it helped me learn about God. Cameron Miri, 8 West Bloomfield I’m thankful for my life and the gymnastics classes my parents took me to in the summer. Melissa Dickow, 8 West Bloomfield I’m thankful for my family, my house, and the food on the table every day. Melinda Dickow, 11 West Bloomfield I’m thankful for having a good life and for my parents raising me to be a good child. I’m also thankful for the food on the table. Andrew Etta, 12 West Bloomfield I’m thankful for my family getting together during Thanksgiving, and I’m thankful that I’m not poor. I feel so sorry for those people who don’t have anything and I’m so lucky that my dad can support me and my family.
