HALHOLE! [Engagements] Layla and James James Zorbas and Layla Jarbou became engaged on Feb 14, 2008. Their engagement was blessed by Fr. Manuel Boji. James is the son of the late Christo & Marlene Zorbas and Layla is the daughter of Badriya Jarbou & the late Yousif Namo Jarbou. Layla ia an ESL Para Educator at Southfield Public Schools and James recently graduated from Walsh College with a Bachelor of Accountancy. They plan to wed in May 2009. Heba and Wael Wael Jarbou and Heba Bakyou became engaged on April 5, 2008. Wael is the son of Badriay Jarbou & the late Yousif Namo Jarbou and Heba is the daughter of Widad Bakayou & the late Adil Bakayou. Wael graduated from the University of Toledo with a B.S. in Science. Heba graduated from Walsh College with a B.S. in Marketing. Their wedding will be in August 2008. Layla and James Heba and Wael [Weddings] Teri and Josef Josef Bahri and Teri Shammas were married on July 8, 2007 at St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church, with a reception at Penna’s of Sterling Heights following. Josef’s parents are Masood & Ibtissam Bahri and Teri is the daughter of George & Aida Shammas. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii. Kristina and Jason Jason Kado, son of Andrew (Basam) Kado & Itimad Kado, exchanged vows of love in the sacrament of marriage with Kristina Sokana, daughter of Sokana & Anaam Sokana, on July 3, 2007. The ceremony, conducted by Fr. Frank Kalabat, took place at St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church with a reception at Penna’s of Sterling Heights. The best man was Jason’s brother, Michael Kado, and the maid of honor was Kristina’s cousin, Hanah Sokana. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii anxious to return back home and start their lives together as one.
