Community Bulletin Board Artful Sisters Venus, Doral and Edna Abrahim and cousin Nicole Abrahim visited the Near East Collection at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France on June 1. They’re pictured here at the entrance to the palace of Sargon II, which was guarded by the human-headed winged bulls. The girls were sure to take along their favorite magazine. Both girls received volleyball MVP awards from their school, Foothills Academy College Prep, for two years in a row. Parents are Anita and Jerry Mansour. Fast Race Car Driver Helio Castronves — in town for the Belle Isle Chevrolet Grand Prix races — made a pit stop at Karam Bahnam’s Mobile Gas Station in Novi where he spent two hours pumping gas, taking pictures with customers and being interviewed by media outlets like WOMC. Two race cars were on display and customers were able to take rides in one of the cars. Fresh Melody Shammam, the founder of CookingwithMelody.com, is one of the sponsors of a new farmers market in Southern California that includes several Chaldean vendors. The Rancho San Diego Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Pictured are Jimmy (Sahara), Melody Yono (My Cupcake Corner), Christina Yono (Flowers By Azhar), Shammam and Daniel Simaan (Valley Foods).
