Grandparents are Badriyah & the late Yousif Jarbou and Juliet & the late Asso Jarbou. Tyler Sam Tyler Sam Abbo is the first son born to proud parents Sam and Leona Abbo of San Diego, California. Tyler was born on June 21, 2005 at 7:06 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz. and was 19 inches long. Grandparents are the late George Abbo, Basima Abbo, Latif Kama and Jaclien Daniel. Godparents are Steve and Yvonne Abbo. Athena Michelle Athena Michelle Daizi was born on July 5, 2005 at 8:52 a.m. She weighed 9 lbs., 9 oz. and measured 23 inches. Proud parents are Johny and Angeliki Daizi. Her older siblings are Johny and Jillian. Grandparents are Najiba & the late Joseph Daizi and Robert & Sophia Fryc, and Anita Kano is the godmother. [Engagements] Bianca and Derek Derek Curioca and Bianca Kato became engaged on November 6, 2005. Derek is the son of Karim & Emily Curioca, and Bianca is the daughter of Maher & Jeanan Kato. [Engagements] Valin and Pavlos Zuhair and Sherly Kenaya are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Valin Kenaya, to Pavlos Gravanis, son of Georgia Gravanis and the late Konstantinos Gravanis. Pavlos and Valin will be wed in August 2006 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Troy followed by a reception at Shenandoah Country Club. The two are both graduates of Wayne State University. Pavlos owns and operates a building restoration company and a valet company, and Valin is an advertising coordinator for Wireless Toyz. The couple plans to honeymoon in the Greek Islands. [Weddings] Ronda and Mark Ronda Hamama and Mark Sawa were married on October 9, 2005 at St. Thomas Church, with a reception following at Laurel Manor. Ronda is the daughter of Dhia & Nidhal Hamama and Mark’s parents are Yelda & Zuhara Sawa. The couple honeymooned in Tahiti and Las Vegas. Simen and Rachel Simen Savaya and Rachel Manjo were married on July 17, 2005 at St. Joseph Chaldean Catholic Church. A reception at Penna’s of Sterling Heights followed. The groom’s parents are Anjel & the late Najib Savaya. Parents of the bride are Saadi & Faiza Manjo. Sermad Savaya, Simon’s brother, was best man, and Rachel’s sister, Angela Manjo, was maid of honor. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Hawaii. Shay and Dennis Dennis Zoma and Shay Gulli were married on September 15, 2005 at St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church. A reception followed at Penna’s of Sterling Heights. Shay is the daughter of Khalid & Samira Gulli; Dennis’ parents are Salim & Suham Zoma. Best man was Danny Zoma, brother of the groom, while the bride’s best friend, Laura Yatooma, was maid of honor.
