COVER STORY PRIME

COVER STORY PRIME MINISTER continued from page 29 for decades. He said that they had also refined the banking sector and were actively monitoring for corruption, making it safer and more reliable for investors and others to do business in Iraq. The prime minister had a warning as well, speaking about the untold billions that countries like Russia, China and Qatar are investing into the region. “We welcome partnership with US countries,” stated Al Sudani, “small and large and in all sectors.” After the prime minister was back home in Iraq, his press agents posted a video showing highlights of the Shenandoah event, incorrectly identifying The Chaldean Iraqi American Association of Michigan (Shenandoah) as the “Iraqi Chaldean Center in Detroit, Michigan, USA.” The event was sponsored and paid for by the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce. Apr 19, 2024 Statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met at dawn on Friday (Baghdad time) with a number of members of the Iraqi community, who met at the Iraqi Chaldean Center in Detroit, Michigan, USA. His Excellency reiterated the government’s pride in all members of Iraqi communities everywhere, including their belonging to their homeland, Iraq in all their sects, and their initiatives in order to build the state, which pushes the government to communicate more with the community, especially as it carries a lot of competencies, capabilities and human potential, and in various scientific and humanitarian disciplines. Mr. Al-Sudani pointed out that the growth in Iraq continues to achieve the priorities identified by the Government in its program, many of which have been achieved during the year and a half of the Government’s life, in addition to adhering to the democratic system and the principles of freedoms and human rights that are protected by the Constitution in many of its articles. 30 CHALDEAN NEWS CHALDEAN STORY
