Teach me both what to give and what to withhold; when to reprove and when to forbear; make me gentle, yet firm; considerate and watchful; and deliver me equally from the weakness of indulgence, and the excess of severity; and grant that, both by word and example, I may be careful to lead them in the ways of wisdom and true pity, so that at last I may, with them, be admitted to the unspeakable joys of our true home in heaven, in the company of the blessed Angels and Saints. obituaries HALHOLE! Ray Dallo Ray lived a life of God for all of the 32 years that he lived. He was born in Baghdad on October 28, 1983 and died in Michigan on June 28, 2016. He peacefully joined his two favorite people, Jido Sabah and Bibi Jamila, in heaven. He is survived by his parents Raad and Sana, and his siblings Rand, Rafat, Ranen and Ronnie. Ray spent most of his life back home working in a store with his father and uncles while never missing a Sunday mass. After coming to the States, he unselfishly started working and providing for the family so that his siblings could focus on school. Being the oldest fit him very well. He was and will always be our protector. Our birthday and Christmas gifts will be missed as he made it a hobby to be everyone’s Santa. Ray’s pure and big heart will be missed by everyone. He loved all of his uncles, aunts and cousins and was kind to everyone. His delicious barbeque, funny jokes and sweet talks will never be forgotten. He loved serving people and enjoyed their company. Ray was not fit for Earth as he was diagnosed with heart failure at the age of 26. He was resilient in continuing the same life he was living and never complained because of his strong faith. He was not guided properly with his condition and in 2014 suffered a massive stroke after a complex surgery. If it was not for his will to live, he would not have made it. A few months later, Ray was able to come home but with more medical issues and in a wheelchair. Ray was not done there. He improved at home and lived a modified and exciting life. He knew everything that he was able to start doing again was a blessing. He loved hearing Fr. Fadi Philip’s voice every Sunday and liked to be out. Simple things, even cold water, meant the world to him. Everyone was inspired by him and his courage. You might have seen him around at churches, malls or restaurants and seen his big smile. Ray lived a short but a meaningful life and fought hard until his body said no more. He will never leave our hearts and will forever be with us. – Rand and Rafat Dallo Hekmat Yousif Mary Hekmat Yousif Mary departed this life on July 7, 2016 at age 79 after a courageous fight with heart disease. The funeral was held on July 9 at Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church. Family received condolences at St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church. The loving husband of Ramzia Brikho for more than 50 years, the couple was blessed with three children and five grandchildren. As an accountant in the old country and a businessman over here, he took pride in his acquaintances. In return they highly valued his honesty and humility. Hekmat was an amazing, caring person with a positive outlook on life. In the hospital, where he stayed for more than a year, even when he could not speak he never failed to smile whenever he opened his eyes. He was a generous soul with a strong will and faith in God following the path of his father, who was an outstanding Chaldean deacon. Hekmat, we will always love you. We miss you, but you won’t be forgotten. Your memory is indelible. Rami Shakir Rami Shakir Zogheib was born June 8, 2016. He weighed 5 lbs. and 11 oz. Happy parents are David & Deena Zogheib.
